Alright, today was Back & Legs. My legs recovered well from the 1/2 marathon awhile back, just to have me start P90X... and since then they've been mumbling complaints to me. Hoping they don't start screaming tomorrow. I've done this routine with Todd before, but this workout always fell on Fridays the last time he did P90X, and I did my long runs on Saturdays... so I never did ALL of the leg stuff before. Some of the lunges were pretty intense and I did not appreciate the one legged wall squat.
The back part was all pull ups. I again used the red band and felt pretty good about what I did. Think I may try the green band (next resistance up) the next time. But, my shoulders were screaming today from yesterday's yoga. Crazy as it sounds I love feeling my body reacting to exercise by aching; it's nice to know that my muscles are being challanged and stepping up to it!
Ab ripper wasn't quite as bad today. Though, I feel that one is pretty evil after the leg workouts. The first three moves also require strength in the thighs. I was able to enjoy the sit up v up and the mason twist. The side v ups are still alluding me...
I did do well on the nutrition today and that felt pretty good. Used nuts, eggs, chicken, and fish for protein sources. I think the recommended protein is one of my hardest things. I don't eat much meat generally, so I'm always looking for other sources. While pregnant I was trying for 100g per day, so I'm kind of putting myself back into that mindset.
