Day 4

Today was Yoga X. I love that workout!! My only problem with it is that it's 90 minutes long, so it takes a good chunk of time to do. Todd and I workout after Isaiah goes to bed, so some nights can be late. (To clarify Isaiah's never really up past 7:30 or 8 at the latest unless we have him out, and then it's really our fault.)

Anyhow, Yoga X has a lot of warrior/triangle poses and chaturanga. The first 45-50 mins are really tough because that's pretty much all you're doing. By the end legs are burning and you know your arms will collapse if you have to do one more chaturanga. My main frustration with this workout is that I can drop into chaturanga but have been unable to push through it into upward dog. I could do it before pregnancy, and am getting closer, but it alludes me. That is one thing I really hope to be able to do in the next week or two.

Once the 'hard' part is over, the remaining time is spent in balance, ab, and strech poses. That's right, Tony found a way to make you do ab work in yoga... you hold each pose for 30 seconds. Stretch feels glorious.

My favorite part of today's workout was that I was briefly able to hold crane a couple of times during the minute they give you to try it. Another of my yoga goals will be to hold this pose for at least 5 seconds by the time I've finished P90X.

Time for shower and bed. Really glad my legs weren't as sore from Tony's live workout yesterday as I expected. I could feel that I workout total body yesterday, but not too bad. Maybe I could've pushed myself harder...
