Today was to be Shoulders & Arms. But instead we worked out live with Tony Horton. He was doing an event in Lincoln at Embassy Suites. He's a great speaker. And (clearly) a crazy workout leader.
The workout (and whole event) was awesome. He did sets: 1 min of cardio, 1 min of upper body (generally a version of push-ups), 30 reps of ab work, and 30 reps of leg work. Tony talked about how this pattern can be followed without any tv, props, or much room. Kinda eliminates excuses to not workout. Any number of sets is better than no sets. Not sure how many sets we did, lasted about an hour or so. Tony is also really good at giving variations on exercises. He'll show the easy version, the normal version, and the crazy person version. Tony's big on 'do what you can and work so that in the future you'll be doing things that you can't do today.'
Pretty awesome to workout in a room full of people. Though part of me prefers working out with just my husband in the sanctuary of my living room.
